Fast Testing & Precise Diagnoses
Our veterinarians in New Iberia leverage advanced diagnostic tests and tools in our in-house lab to accurately diagnose your pet's medical conditions and customize treatment plans.
Laboratory & Diagnostics
Electromagnetic radiation and other technologies are used for diagnostic imaging, which allows us to produce highly detailed images of your pet's internal structures.
The advanced tools our vets use in the lab at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital help to accurately diagnose your pet's medical issues. We offer a range of services, from digital radiology to ECG.
With our diagnostic imaging capabilities, we can efficiently produce accurate diagnostic information regarding your pet's condition, then provide immediate treatment options.
In-House Lab & Pharmacy
We're able to perform tests and receive results quickly in our in-house laboratory, so your pet's symptoms can be diagnosed and we can start treatment as soon as possible. Our veterinary pharmacy in New Iberia is stocked with a range of prescription diets and medications. This allows us quick access to any medications your pet may need while in our care.
Our Diagnostic Services
With our in-house veterinary diagnostic laboratory, we are pleased to offer advanced diagnostics, including:
- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
Using a radiograph (digital x-ray) in our vet lab, we can examine your pet's internal systems to reveal information that may be invisible from the outside.
Radiography is safe, painless and non-invasive. It uses only very low doses of radiation. Because the level of radiation exposure required to perform radiography is very low, even pregnant females and very young pets can undergo this procedure.
Radiographs can be used to evaluate bones and organs, and diagnose conditions including broken bones, chronic arthritis, bladder stones, spinal cord diseases and some tumors.
- Bloodwork
At our vet lab in New Iberia, we can run many common and specialized blood tests to determine how healthy your pet is and to diagnose illness.
Some of the most common veterinary blood tests we do are CBC (complete blood count), white blood count, hemoglobin and MCHC, hematocrit, platelets, eosinophils, and blood serum profile.
- Endoscopy
High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery.
- Cold Laser Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy is a drug-free and pain-free therapeutic treatment used to treat pain and inflammation in cats and dogs. This non-surgical therapy can be performed in conjunction with other treatments.
